If there is a fire in your building, the key aspect of fire protection is to identify the developing fire as soon as possible so that you can alert the building’s occupants and fire emergency organisations. This is why you should have a fire detection and alarm system installed in your premises. MPS can design and install a suitable fire detection and alarm system for you.

It is vitally important when installing a Fire Detection system that the installer is properly qualified and knowledgeable with regards to the ever-changing regulations in Health & Safety management. Building and site conditions are different; local regulations and standards vary from county to county and there are various technologies on these systems. THERMAL FIRE DETECTION

“A thermographic camera (also called an infrared camera or thermal imaging camera) is a device that forms an image using infrared radiation, in a similar way to a common camera that forms an image using visible light. Instead of the 400–700 nanometre range of the visible light camera, infrared cameras operate in wavelengths as long as 14,000 nm (14 µm).” Wikipedia

Originally developed during the Korean War for military use, thermographic cameras have gradually migrated into other fields such as medicine and archaeology. As technology has improved and costs have reduced, it has been possible to adopt this infrared viewing technology into security and surveillance applications.

Maximum Protection Services use only the latest technologies available and Thermal Imaging cameras can be integrated into existing or new systems with ease. Thermal Imaging cameras need no light whatsoever to operate and can see through light fog and smoke. The advantages don’t stop there though – even in full daylight someone trying to mask themselves in shadow or otherwise concealing themselves will be clearly visible on a thermal image. Thermal Imaging cameras are also not affected by the glare of the sun.

Although this cutting-edge technology can be more expensive than regular CCTV equipment, larger areas can be covered. As always, our experienced and expert staff are on hand to make sure that the equipment used for your installation is perfect to suit your needs.
