Governance built into deployment
Where biometric or other personal data is used, deployment must be designed around a clearly defined purpose, lawful basis, proportionality, retention, access controls and the organisation's wider data-protection obligations. Biometric recognition requires a Data Protection Impact Assessment (DPIA), a lawful basis and a separate condition for processing special category biometric data.
MPS configures the technology around the customer's approved operational requirements; responsibility for lawful deployment and organisational policy remains an essential part of implementation.
